Eulogy

A little over a week ago, we had Dickens euthanized.  He had lost the use of both his back legs, and our dog who would leap at the mention of the word "park" was reduced to dragging himself around the main floor of the house.

He was a good dog.  Yes, he had some personality quirks that sometimes made him difficult to live with, but all-in-all, he was a good dog, and a good friend.  We miss his barking at loud noises outside the house.  We miss his affectionate endless licking of our feet in the evenings.  We miss the warm greetings coming home from church and other outings.  But we know that we made the best decision that we could for our boy.

Dickens, you are loved and missed!
