This Memorial Day was a proper holiday, by Breanna Broderick's standards. In the morning we made a simple breakfast of pumpkin muffins (thank you John), followed by laundry and general cleaning of the living spaces. We took a family walk together with the dog, and after that we went shopping *gasp* at the mall *faint* and hit up some sales for a new slow cooker and a bucket hat for Cora. When we got home, we dithered over what to do for dinner, and decided to go barbecue shish kabobs at the park. Cora got to wear her new hat.
If you look closely at the picture you will see that this is no ordinary bucket hat; it is a TURTLE bucket hat! There is a head and fins sewn into the band in such a way that it makes the "bucket" portion of the hat the reptile's shell.
