Well, we are slowly surviving our summer here in Tucson. I have spent most of my time working at Raytheon, leaving poor Bre to find a way to busy herself around the house here. But a quick recap of the major events.
We went up to a pair of family reunions. We enjoyed all the great times seeing family and cousins and little nieces and nephews, but perhaps the most memorable event occurred about 60 miles south of Provo where our front, driver-side tire decided that it was tired of life and wanted to blow out. Upon removal of the spare, after shifting all the clutter in the trunk, we found a screw in it and that it did not have any air pressure. Fortunately, we were traveling with family who happened to be AAA members, so our first family fiasco was ameliorated with help from experienced people. Oh the joys of learning to be responsible!
Turns out the strut was bent and we had to replace that and were a bit late getting down to see my family in St. George, but we still got there before some of my siblings.
We, meaning my brother Spencer and his wife Lindsey, Bre and I, played host to our 4 young cousins from Mesa for 6 days a couple of weeks ago. It was quite the shock for us, since we suddenly had 4 kids ages 6 to 11 to take care of. I don't think any of us were prepared for the experience. We did enjoy the time and Bre got to take the kids to the desert museum while I was at work. The funniest part occurred when the missionaries came over for dinner. Spencer and Lindsey were with the youth at the temple and didn't get back in time, so we were the ones in charge. As I told Bre later that night, I felt like the head of a household with borrowed children and a borrowed home. The best part of the situation is that you can give them all back when you don't want them anymore!
Well, we only have 2 more weeks down here in Tucson. We will try to take pictures over the coming weeks. Somehow we never seem to bring the camera along on our adventures or we forget to take pictures when we do, but we will try and rectify that situation.
